Fort Myers, Fl

We arrived Fort Myers Sunday afternoon on January 21. It was beautiful at 79 degrees. We had reserved a site at Belle Parc RV Resort.

Kathy was big on getting a plan made out because there were places she knew they wanted to go to as well as Michael having a couple of days to play golf. So plans were made but you know what they say about the best-laid plans of mice and men going awry... well they sure did. Kathy got sick and she just about missed the whole week. There was lots of riding around and sight seeing from the car but Kathy was too sick to get out and walk around any. They drove to Naples where Kathy had plans to do some shopping.

No shopping done but she did get out and eat a cup of soup. They drove another day to Captiva and Kathy had a mimosa and a cup of black beans and rice while Michael had a bit more of an appetite at RC Otter's ( a stop they always make on the island)but no walking around at"Ding" Darling National Wildlife Refuge on Sanibel Island.

Another day they drove around the River District in Fort Myers and looked at an on-loan exhibit called “Alure Your Senses” which was 23 sculptures created by Colombian artist Edgardo Carmona. It was a really cool exhibit.

Michael got to play golf two times at 2 really nice courses; Verandah's Old Orange

And, he picked up a new toy... a hoover board.

Anywho...even with Kathy being sick we all had a good time and enjoyed the warm weather in Fort Myers but it's been two weeks now and tiny living seems to be getting tinier. I have to pick my sleeping spaces with comfort in mind and I always demand one of the "Captain" chairs because it is Bobby's World after all . Well until next time...
